Amplifying ‘Understanding Self-Harm’

We’re excited to announce that Fullscope has been commissioned to extend our ‘Understanding Self-Harm’ project in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough for another year.

Fullscope is expanding the reach of our self-harm project and undertaking the following between now and April 2025.

  • Workshops for Professionals: We’ll continue delivering our highly rated Understanding Self-Harm workshops to local professionals working with young people.

  • Expanded Reach: We’re collaborating with local training providers to expand workshop availability.

  • Resource Development: We’re enhancing resources related to Understanding Self-Harm and the associated film, “Ask Me How I Am,” to reach a wider audience, including parents and carers.

  • Youth Involvement: We’re working with local young people to create materials that reduce stigma and promote awareness about self-harm.

This work builds on the successes of Phase 3 (July 2023 – March 2024), which included pilot workshops, the launch of “Ask Me How I Am,” and consultation activities with parents, carers, and professionals.

Fullscope were commissioned by Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Public Health, funded by NHS England under the wider Wave 4 Suicide Prevention funding, to understand self-harm in children and young people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. This work has taken place over 3 phases.
